XAI is a configurable RGB activity indicator for the Original Xbox, adding dedicated LAN and HDD activity lighting to the front of the console with a clean, low-profile installation.
Each activity indicator can be configured independently with one of 16 colors, while 10 brightness levels let you tune the LEDs from subtle to bright. Indicator positions can also be reversed in software, making XAI easy to adapt to different mounting orientations without rewiring.
Activity is displayed with a responsive, softly fading pulse that keeps rapid LAN and HDD access easy to see without the harsh on/off appearance of a conventional indicator LED.
Configuration is handled entirely from the single button on the LED board. Color, brightness, indicator orientation, and other controls are stored in onboard memory and retained when the console is powered off.
XAI uses a compact two-board design. The controller board remains safely inside the Xbox, while the slim LED board mounts beneath the front panel and connects through a thin FFC ribbon cable. Installation requires only power, ground, LAN activity, and HDD activity connections inside the console.
